Following the announcement from the government on January 4th 2021, we have now moved to a programme of remote learning for the remainder of this half term, with the majority of children working at home. Please support your child with their learning, accessing the lessons on Class Dojo each day and following the timetable shared by your child’s class teacher. School is now only open to the children of Key Workers and those who have been contacted directly by the school.
Teachers will make daily contact on Dojo through the childrens’ portfolios. If you have any concerns or queries related to online learning, in the first instance please make contact with the class teacher via the Class Dojo messaging service.
We look forward to seeing you all back at William Booth as soon as we can
Transform Trust CEO – Covid-19 Update to Parents/Carers
Since the late summer resumption in September, School has been prepared for managing Covid-19 cases as they become more commonplace in our local community. In line with Government and Public Health guidance, we will be asking staff and pupil bubbles to isolate whenever symptoms or cases appear. This is designed to minimise the impact on the wider school community. We continue to communicate to all affected parents/carers directly through phone calls, dojo or letters and this will ensure children are isolated for the necessary time.
We wish to ensure education continues even when pupil isolations are necessary. Your school has made provision for delivering this to all children at home.
I want to share how proud I am of the school staff who are working tirelessly and courageously to support your children.
Finally let me thank you, our parents/carers, for your continued support to the school during these particularly challenging times.
Welcome to the official William Booth School website. We hope you find the information provided both enjoyable and informative. Achievement and enjoyment are important goals that we are determined to provide for our pupils in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
We pride ourselves in providing for all children a secure, yet stimulating and challenging learning environment. We welcome participation by parents and carers in all aspects of school life and we look forward to working in partnership with you. No one knows your child better than you for this reason we very much value your co-operation.
